It’s still very wet here, but so far we’ve not got the freezing cold spell and snow that’s forecast for Scotland and the North East of England this weekend. And there’s new growth in our little wood – is Spring on it’s way?

Oh my! that is early spring.
Oh, what a breath of freshness! A sign of what’s to come … in about three months! Just lovely!
One can always hope.
Here’s my Saturday Snapshot. I’d love to have you stop by.
This is why I love Spring. Thanks for these.
Do you think the plants are confused to think it is Spring already?
Hellebores are such dainty bulbs. If I lived in the right zone, I might be tempted to try a few.
ooh, so pretty! Here in FL our azaleas are now blooming.
I search for the snowdrops first, then the crocus, then comes the daffodils, then the tulips. It is my flower map to spring and it helps keep me sane in the dark, dark north of England. Great pic!
Margaret, I love the pictures. Green shoots are pushing their way through the earth here to – I spotted some when I was out walking yesterday, and again today. And there are buds on some of the trees. It makes me feel as if spring is on the way, but snow is forecast… My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/BIJkg
It is nice to see a few signs of Spring, although I think it may get a bit worse before it gets better. I like your new header photo too.
Beautiful!!
Lovely close-ups. If it stays warm long enough here in this January thaw, we may be seeing sprouts too.
Sure looks like spring. Enjoy!!!!
Love the plant that is blooming already.

My Saturday Snapshot
That would be so early for spring! The only thing that’s really sprouting around here is grass and clover in our yard. They grow like crazy in the winter, and it’s so wet and squishy most of the time that we can’t mow until it’s knee-high in the spring.
Well that would be an early spring for sure! Winter is just taking hold here in Seattle.
*smiles*
Margaret – Such a hopeful sign! I love those ‘photos! It may be awfully early, but still, it looks like a sign to me.
I am a big fan of spring! Thanks for sharing us the signs of “hope” that signal that season.
We’re having our usual Jan. thaw so it’s 50 degrees and very foggy as the snow melts. I love your signs of Spring but it seems too early, doesn’t it? Well, you can hope for an early Spring.
Lovely photos, it’s always welcome to see signs of spring, even if they are a little early.
Sp lucky to see signs of Spring already. It’s been a mild winter here but we still have a bit of snow melting. Great shot
