MizB’s question this week for Musing Mondays is:
Other than working at a job, what is your biggest interruption to reading? What takes you away from your book(s)?
As I’m retired in theory I should have more time for reading. In practice, though, I don’t read more now than I did then and the things that take me away from reading are just the same as before – family, friends and hobbies, such as painting, visiting places and generally – life.
Blogging, of course, is one of those things, so I’m finishing off this post – it’s time to read!
Life, that’s a popular on this week’s MM post.
Here’s Mine
If I could just afford to hire someone to do all my daily chores..and to work for me too! lol
Haha so true- technically I shouldn’t be writing this comment as it is doing the exact same thing!

You would think you’d have all the time in the world. But nope, life is too short and we are all too busy. Great answer. Here’s my Musing
Thanks,

That dang housework is what takes me away from everything I love to do. But sadly I can’t afford, nor do I want, to hire someone. I still like to know my house is clean, because I cleaned it.
Well, at least they’re things you enjoy doing

It’s my fantasy that when (if) I can retire I will read more. But I’m probably like you and will get caught up in my life instead of reading.
Retirement is busy isn’t it. Here is my post: MM
Chores & family are really time-consuming, but you have to spend time on both!! Great post,
Would love it if you could check out mine <—
I’m almost as passionate about beading as I am about reading and find my art often keeps me from getting stuck into my current book. Also age – surely it can’t be just me who finds the older I get the slower I read !
