Our back garden isn’t the usual type of garden as it’s mainly grass, a stream and woodland. At the end of January we had a tidying-up session in the woodland and a small fire burning small branches that the wind had blown down.
Further down the wood the snowdrops are still in flower.

What a lovely garden. The snowdrops are out down here too, I saw a lovely corner of a field that was full of them the other day.
The snowdrops are beautiful! We have a similar plant that tends to flower after heavy rains – rain lilies. The flowers are either yellow or white.
What do rain lilies look like?
I saw some snowdrops out last week too, I’m hoping they won’t die when or if it gets cold again.

We have snowdrops too, but not yet. We got a fresh snowfall again last evening. Kids can go out with toboggans again.
A wooded backyard would be neat.

I love the snowdrops! So pretty–and they remind of Lilies of the Valley, which are my favorite.

How pretty! I’m counting the days until we get some spring flowers.
Our garden is full of snowdrops which have self-seeded over the years. Lovely while in flower, although they look a bit untidy before the leaves have died off. I shouldn’t complain, just enjoy them on a lovely winter morning.
Lovely snowdrops! We also do some burning of branches and leaves in the spring and fall. Love your firepit.
What a lovely backyard! I miss living in the country. We had 3 acres with a large meadow and a stream surrounded by cottonwood trees. So beautiful…
