I love these photos. They remind me of when Denis and I stayed in a cottage on a farm in Bedfordshire. Every morning this fellow’s cousin would come out of the field and stand at the side of the lane to say Good Morning to us. They are such beautiful creatures.
Great shots. Wonderful capture.
How did he get so close? I often see pheasants when I’m out walking but they always run off before I get anywhere near.
SW, I’ve been trying to get a good photo of this pheasant for months now. When we moved here last December there were two pheasants that patrolled the garden boundary and they occasionally came into the garden. Now one or the other come regularly. Every time I get my camera out they sense it straight away and walk off – I’ve got lots of photos of a pheasant’s rear end walking away.
Dave took these photos from the front room – through the window – the pheasant had got quite bold and walked towards the house. He took the first photo without using the zoom and zoomed in to take the other shots.
Fantastic shots and he was a good ‘sitter’.
I agree very good shots! Got a good zoom? Or did you manage to get that close? Makes for a very colourful pic.
Wonderful! Great shots.
isn’t he pretty…and I don’t mean your husband, even if he takes a nice picture.
