Joy at Joyfully Retired does a weekly feature called Favorite Places and I thought today I’d post some photographs of one of my favourite places: Linlithgow about 20 miles from Edinburgh.

What a nice treat for Sunday morning – thank you!
This is just lovely. The Loch is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing these!
What a gorgeous place. I’m still hoping that someday I’ll make it to your part of the country. I can see why it’s one of your favorite places.
Beautiful, thank you for the tour.
Wow! That is a beautiful and awe inspiring sight to see! I’m a huge fan of medieval architecture, castles specifically. I know more about the ones in England and France but have always heard how amazing Scotland was. I recently had my first novel published,”between heaven and Hell” and i set some of the scenes in medieval structures where i had tried to describe their every arched entry way and rising tower to the reader. Thank you for sharing the pictures, it gives me another site to consider for my next family vacation!
