It’s Tuesday again. Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Share a couple or more sentences from the book you’re currently reading. You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Today I’m starting to read Hide & Seek by Ian Rankin and my teaser is from the opening paragraph. It’s from page 187 of the anthology of the first three Rebus books:
He was shrieking now, frantic, his face drained of all colour. She was at the top of the stairs, and he stumbled towards her, grabbing her by the arms, propelling her downstairs, with unfocucced force, so that she feared they would both fall.

ok that’s a good one! Now it’s in my wishlist
I love your teaser this week, Margaret!
Oh i love it! I have just added all his books to my wishlist at bookarmy – I have a couple of his books that I have not got round to reading yet. Now I really want to, but must work out the order they were published in. Do you know?
Here is my Tuesday Teaser if you would like to have a look!
Take care,

I get the idea this book is filled with scary passages like your teaser. Don’t read too late at night or home alone.
Now that is a good teaser. I keep meaning to try Ian Rankin, but I haven’t quite got there yet!
One of these days I must begin working my way through the Rebus series … *sigh* there are so many authors I haven’t yet managed to read!
Interesting! Makes me wonder what they’re fleeing from.
My teaser is here.
Ohhh love the teaser!
That is an exciting way to open a book!
Well that’s a good opening, definitely leaves you wanting to continue!
wow, scary . . . read my teaser here
Like that!
Tuesdays: Teaser/Whereabouts
What a great teaser! Very dramatic. I always do a double take when I see Ian Rankin’s name, since I think that’s the same name as one of the members of the Rankins, one of Canada’s major folk groups. I keep thinking, “He writes books, to? Oh, wait — ”
One of these days I obviously need to read this Rankin’s books, if your teaser is anything to go by.
Meanwhile, my own teaser is at Bookishgal.
