It's certainly atmospheric. I love rain and even thunder and lightening (as long as I'm at home), but I don't like the more severe stuff--too much rain too fast or high winds! The Wilson book sounds good by the way.

Wow, that was quite the storm you had! Glad everything is ok in spite of what sounds like a mess to clean up. Perhaps you might want to invest in small boat in case the lane flooding becomes a regular occurrence.

Your video was scary although I couldn't help notice how lush and green your garden is. I love your list of children's books. I'm always looking for good books for my granddaughters and these look like winners.

Gosh! A bit frightening to suddenly find you have a river flowing past your front gate!

Personally, I like the sound of 'Pants'.

Wow! That is scary! I'm glad the water didn't get up to the house. I spent a good part of my childhood living in a flood plain and it was always frightening with the water would get so close to the house. I had friends who weren't as lucky as we were and had to deal with the aftermath of the flooding in the house.

The 1920's were such an interesting time. After The Victorians sounds like a good one. I hope you have a great week and happy reading!

The children's books look like a lot of fun! My niece loved "Pants" when she was a bit smaller.
