Isn’t it wonderful how something different strikes you with each reread? The Tomalin book is on my nightstand (there’s a bookmark in it, but I haven’t picked it up in several weeks) and I have Maggie Lane’s book waiting, too!

I hope you enjoy the biography! It’s a great idea to read it soon after reading P&P — a nice way to get into the Austen mindset.

Thank you for including the description from the biography, it certainly makes her more real. Again, I’m reading as fast as I can, but P&P is still a few books away

She had such a talent with words, I loved the wit and humor. The ‘Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle’ version is still one of my favourite films.

You know that I don’t much like Austen but I liked reading what you wrote about her. I think I will read Memoir of Jane Austen.
