I love this book; in fact, I love everything Shirley Jackson ever wrote. My favorite Shirley Jackson book is The Haunting of Hill House.

Isn't this a delightful book? I love Jackson because sometimes you can't tell what is real and what is not and that makes her stories even creepier.

The drawings are "weirdly wonderful" but I'm not sure the book is my cup of tea.

I have read a couple of things by Shirley Jackson--she was a seriously creepy writer! I haven't seen this one, but will look for it. Have you read her more light-hearted Life Among the Savages?
Thanks for the great review...
*smiles*

Wow. This book sounds incredibly creepy. With a cover like that, I'll have to look out for it!
